Driving permit
You can drive a motor vehicle for a period not exceeding 30 days from the date of arrival into Guam with a valid Australian driver's licence (digital licences may not be accepted).
Road travel
Driving can be dangerous, particularly at night.
Hazards include:
- slippery roads after rain
- unlit streets
- poorly maintained roads
Before driving in Guam:
If you're involved in an accident as a driver, don't leave the scene or move your vehicle until the police have attended.

Motorcycles
Make sure that your insurance policy covers you before riding a motorbike, quad bike or similar vehicle.
Always wear a helmet.
Taxis
Use registered taxis and authorised limousines.
Book vehicles through your hotel or resort.
Make sure the driver uses a taxi meter.
Public transport
Guam has a limited network of public buses and services can be unreliable.
Bus services don't run on Sundays or public holidays.

Sea travel
A number of cruise vessels visit Guam annually, docking at the Port Authority of Guam’s F1 Pier.
Yachts must clear customs and immigration at Apra Harbour on arrival. See 'Arriving by sea'.
