Red Frogs
Red Frogs educates young people on safe partying behaviour. Their programs provide a positive peer presence in alcohol-fuelled environments. Each year, they send volunteers to Bali and Fiji throughout schoolies week to support young Australians. Smartraveller partners with Red Frogs to educate school leavers about travel safety and partying safely while overseas.

The Nicole and Julie Fitzsimons Foundation
The Nicole and Julie Fitzsimons Foundation promotes safe travel behaviour targeted at Aussie school leavers. The foundation is a legacy to Nicole, who died in a motorcycle accident in Thailand in 2012, and Julie, who was struck and killed by a car in the USA in 2025. Smartraveller partners with the Foundation to raise awareness of travel safety overseas among young Australians through presentations at local schools and community clubs.

CHOICE
CHOICE is an independent consumer advocate that provides Australians with information and advice. They partner with Smartraveller to produce the travel insurance buying guide. The guide educates travellers on choosing the best travel insurance for their needs, including how alcohol can affect insurance coverage.

Insurance Council of Australia
The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) aims to ensure that insurance is accessible to all Australians. As industry representatives, they build partnerships with governments, communities, and regulators to address the protection gap and ensure that people are covered when they need it. Smartraveller and ICA run an annual survey of Australian travellers. The survey looks at attitudes and behaviours around travel insurance and travel safety.

Methanol Poisoning initiative (MPi)
Established in 2012, the Methanol Poisoning initiative (MPi) is a joint venture between Oslo University Hospital (OUH) and Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), looking at mechanisms to improve the survival of methanol poisoning patients globally. MPi combines OUH's expertise in methanol poisoning and MSF's experience in humanitarian emergencies. MPi provides support in conducting diagnosis and treatment trainings, awareness-raising and public education, technical engagement and intervention support in case of outbreaks.

Smartraveller partners with Telstra to deliver SMS notifications to their customers at international airport terminals in Australia. The messages highlight the additional risks of drinking alcohol overseas and encourage people to find out more from Smartraveller.gov.au.
