Depending on why you're travelling and how long you plan to stay, you may require a visa for travel to the Schengen area. Check the European Entry and Exit (EES) and visa rules before you travel. If you're a dual national of a European country, check whether the EES applies to you and what passport you should enter on. There may be delays at border crossings.

Military conflict in the Middle East has caused widespread fuel supply shortages, flight cancellations and other travel disruptions worldwide.
On 25 April, Anzac Day services will be held in major cities and at international war memorials. If you're travelling to attend a service, understand the risks and plan ahead.
The situation in the Middle East region remains volatile. There remains a risk of attacks and escalation. If you're in the region and want to leave, we continue to advise you to make plans to do so. Even transiting a ‘Do not travel’ travel hub puts your safety at risk. Airports have been targeted and you may be unable to leave. Check your itinerary for ‘Do not travel’ transit locations.
Cyclones, hurricanes, typhoons and monsoons are serious risks in some destinations. Read our advice if you’re overseas during tropical storm season.
