Each year, DFAT partners with the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) to commission research into Australians’ sentiment around travel, travel insurance and Smartraveller. ICA is the representative body of the general insurance industry in Australia. We include the key insights gained from the survey in the Consular State of Play. Gen Z travel trends and habits research
Smartraveller conducted national research to better understand the travel habits and trends of young Australians. The research explored how young Australians think about overseas travel, how they plan and prepare, the tools and sources they rely on, and how they consider safety and risk throughout the travel journey.
