What’s changing?
We’re re-arranging our general content to make it easier to find what you need. All the information we currently have will still be available, it will just be grouped under four new categories:
- The essentials – if you read nothing else, read this. This content covers all the essentials of safe overseas travel.
- Planning a trip – detailed advice to help you plan a safe and successful overseas trip based on why you’re travelling, who you are and what you’ll be doing.
- While overseas – advice about the things that could go wrong on your trip, how to avoid them, and what to do if they happen.
- Our role – information about Smartraveller’s role and the services the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade provides to Australians overseas.
Our destination travel advisories are not changing.
Our goal is to make Smartraveller simpler, clearer and easier to use. We welcome your feedback as we continue to improve the Smartraveller website. You can do this by contacting us via our online form.
