Calls to registered Australians

We’re continuing to work to help Australians overseas return to Australia, including through arranging more facilitated commercial flights and providing emergency financial assistance to those in need.
If you’re registered with us, expect to receive an SMS followed by a call from the government in coming days. The purpose of the calls is to ensure we understand your circumstances and intentions. If you miss our call, don’t worry, we'll try to contact you again.
Note: We will not ask for any payment details. DFAT will never request payment over the phone or fine you for not providing information. If you receive a call from someone asking for payment or saying you’ll be fined for providing inaccurate information, claiming to be from DFAT or another government agency, please hang up.
