From 17 January, pre-departure requirements for travel to China from Australia will change. In addition to meeting visa requirements, there are health testing requirements. The requirements vary depending on your COVID-19 and vaccination history. There are multiple tests required within specified timeframes. Testing requirements may change at short notice. Contact the nearest Chinese embassy/consulate to confirm travel requirements.

The Australian Government has announced changes to the COVID-19 testing requirements for inbound travel to Australia.
Falling sick while travelling is never ideal but when it’s COVID-19 it can seriously disrupt travel plans.
A negative PCR test is required to board your return flight, and you must complete 14 days of mandatory quarantine in designated facilities in the city you arrive in (exemptions apply).
