The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade does not issue travel advice for this country at this time.

Australians are advised to read the General Advice to Australian Travellers which provides general information about safety and security, local laws and customs, entry and exit requirements, health issues, travel and health insurance and consular assistance and registration.

Togo is listed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as endemic for yellow fever. Some airlines may require passengers to present a valid Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate before being allowed to board flights out of the country. If in doubt, check with your airline.

If you have visited Togo in the last six days prior to your date of return to Australia, Australian Customs officials will ask you to present a valid Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate on entry into Australia.

Australia does not have an Embassy or Consulate in Togo. Australians may obtain consular assistance from the nearest High Commission. This is in Ghana at:

All Australians travelling to Togo, whether for tourism or business or for short or long stays, are encouraged to register with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Australians can register in person at any Australian Embassy, High Commission or Consulate or on-line. The registration information provided by you will help us to find you in an emergency - whether it is a natural disaster, civil disturbance or a family emergency.
